Volunteers Needed

Capture The Flag

We have decided that a regatta could not be safely orchestrated during a pandemic but that doesn't mean we can't capture some fun on the lake this summer.  So we're going to have two events this summer:

CANADA DAY FLAG WEEK) Open to all ages, similar to the winter scavenger hunt but held over a week, Saturday June 26 to Saturday July 3rd, we are going to provide a map with locations marked out where you will visit by boat and mark down what type of flag is flying that week and enter online.  We are fortunate to live in a multicultural country so while we are celebrating Canada Day let's also show our ancestral flags or other types of flags to make it interesting.

So we are looking for people to identify their current flags already flying on their property, or to put up a flag of your choice. We have a few pirate flags we can provide if you don't have one and want to participate.

Please take a photo and send it to us to

Completely Covid safe, no contact, individuals will just be observing the location from their boats.

REGGATA SCAVENGER HUNT) Open to the kids, on the August long weekend, where they will follow a course and collect items at designated locations.  Details are in the works and will be provided in a later newsletter.

We are looking for volunteers who have a location where they can attach small fabric flags or other items to their docks or shore area that individuals can reach without getting out of their boats.  We will provide items for you to put up and help strategize how you can put them up. i.e. we have some strings with clothes pegs from the water challenge that can be used, they could be stapled to a wood dock, etc.

If you have something to donate for approximately 50 kids please let us know, i.e. granola bars, etc.
The Boyce's have generously agreed to donate 50 cookies and tattoos.

Let us know if you would like to participate in any way you feel comfortable helping, we will need some volunteers to do sewing again before hand.

Let us know if you would like to be on the Social Committee to help plan contact free events.
