Remembrance

An invented landscape to help bear out our eternal April... we have been out sailing a few times, in the icy cold - a gift of the North Atlantic.

Sailing with my sister Carolyn aboard in 2004. Sadly, she passed away July 13, 2008. She's on the far right. Louisa and I are on the left. (Long ago I photoshopped in more water on the right so this would fit a computer screen... why the water on that side is a little weird.)

It's our 17th year sailing. Give us a holler if you'd like to go out!

In addition to getting the boat into the water (with way more than the usual set of problems - jeepers) we've spent a good deal of time getting the vegie/spice/flower/wine & table grape gardens up and running!

We had such a problem with leaf miners last year we've abandoned spinach, swiss chard and beets for the season. Maybe late we'll put some in, after the miners have hatched and found nothing to eat.

I've got a new little seascape painting coming on the easel.... keep you posted.
