Forum: Right to Film, Photograph During RNC

The Society of Professional Journalists and the National Press Photographers Association will host a forum on June 22 to explore the rights of citizens and the press to photograph and record in public during the Republican National Convention. This First Amendment rights panel will include journalists, police and legal experts.

Tedx Salon: 'Politics in the
21st Century'
TedxCleveland State University will hold a Salon panel discussion about the changing ways that candidates interact and communicate with voters and how that shapes democracy. Speakers include former elected officials, political activists and experts who will assess the current campaign environment and what it will mean for America’s future. The event is free but registration is required.

Featured Student: Breanna Davis

Breanna Davis is a Deckard Family Civic Fellow and this month's featured student.
Breanna is an intern with the City of Cleveland's Department of Recreation, where she shares her love of dance with children as a dance teacher.

YP Civic Engagement Fair Set For June 22
Young professionals have an opportunity to learn about how to be more involved in the city at Engage! Cleveland's upcoming YP Civic Engagement and Job Fair. The event will connect YPs with non-profits seeking volunteers and other opportunities for civic engagement. The fair is free and will be held at the Fifth Street Arcades on June 22nd. Registration is required.

Community Partner: Cleveland Historical

In partnership with a range of community organizations, CSU students “curate the city” through location-based stories enhanced with historical images, maps, oral history accounts, and documentary videos. Led by Mark Souther Ph.D., associate professor of History and director of the Center for Public History + Digital Humanities, students have research sites throughout Greater Cleveland.

Support Local Economy. Patron Farmers Markets
Enjoy the beautiful summer weather while supporting the local economy by patronizing farmers markets. North Union Farmers Markets are held throughout the Cleveland area. Just down the street from CSU, the Playhouse Square farmers market is held on Thursdays from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. now till September 15, 2016.
