Hi <<First Name>>,
At Olivia’s, we work hard to provide you and your family with fresh, organic produce. So we're keenly aware that this wouldn't be possible without clean air, clean water and healthy soil. We understand that preserving our natural resources is essential for our future, and we are committed to organic farming. Our products are always grown with a concern for the things we care about the most – the health and well-being of our families and our planet.
In the spirit of preserving the Earth for future generations, we’d like to take this opportunity to celebrate Earth Day. Started in 1970, Earth Day was founded when 20 million Americans came together to celebrate the importance of taking care of the environment. Now, 46 years later, the movement is stronger than ever!
This Friday, April 22nd, let’s reflect on the importance and value of organic farming. Did you know that organic farms produce 40% less greenhouse gas emissions than conventional farms? That’s because organic systems don’t use nitrogen-based fertilizers derived from petroleum. This also means that organic agriculture uses significantly less unsustainable energy than conventional agriculture. Through our endeavors, Olivia’s Organics sustains 5,000 acres of organic farmland.
There are many ways that you can take part in the celebration! To find Earth Day events near you, check out the official roundup here.
