Show your thanks!

Sorry we have had to send so many requests to fill volunteer shifts but this year we have had several contributing factors which include: more exemptions, more on/off-site staff and also a slight decline in membership from last year. If you recall, I have been requesting you all to spread the word about our CSA and this has been the primary reason. We need more volunteer staff to ensure that distribution runs as smoothly as possible. That, and I wanted to show the farmers that their commitment to improve things on their end, has not only benefitted our current members, but has attracted new members as well.

This week, I requested different squashes. Last week, we were suppose to receive butternut but for some reason we didn’t so I wanted to let Gerry, who does the ordering to be aware.  I continue to advocate for our CSA while always understanding the incredible efforts made by our farmers day in and day out. I know many of you feel the same gratitude so in the coming weeks, I will be collecting your thoughts of gratitude to share directly with the farmers.  I think it would be nice for them to hear directly from their members how much we appreciate them. So give some thought.  Feel free to email me your messages at I will compile all the emails and send one from the group.  I know we are all busy but please, take a moment..........and share some love! It will make you smile. I promise.

See you at distribution!
