NOWLAB, the innovation lab of BigRep, has developed the world’s first fully 3D printed and functional e-motorcycle. From frame to tire, the whole revolutionary design of the NERA, apart from electrical components, is created using additive manufacturing.

Free roaming


The Sion from Sono Motors is an interesting new car concept. It is an electric car with integrated solar panels that can charge the car with enough energy for a range of 30km on a daily basis. Fully charged, the car has a range of 250km and the company is aiming at a price point of only 16000 euro. Excluding battery that is.

Pick me up


The Pop.Up Next is a 1:4 scale model from Audi, Airbus and Italdesign showcasing a flying taxi concept. The idea is that a drone can pick up a self-driving car and transport it further through the air. The major benefit of this concept should be the absence of the need for a passenger to switch vehicles allowing for very efficient transportation.

Fly in silence


This is the first ion drive aeroplane in action. It has no moving parts and uses high powered electrodes to ionise and accelerate air particles, creating an ‘ionic wind’. This technology might lead to light, cheap and carbon-neutral aeroplanes.

And we will finish with Roboat, a research project aiming to develop the world's first fleet of autonomous floating vessels. It is a new kind of on-demand infrastructure: autonomous platforms will combine together to form floating bridges and stages, collect waste, deliver goods, and transport people, all while collecting data about the city.
