Hello friends of innovation!

As you might know, we look at the world but we operate from the Netherlands. Last week we visited the Accenture Innovation Summit, a yearly event where great innovations are being presented and inspirational talks are being held.

Alternative food production methods

Riverfood specialises in aquaponics: a closed loop system where plants are grown with the help of fish and bacteria. All that is needed is feeding the fish – they produce waste which is eaten by the bacteria, and the waste that the bacteria produce is food for the plants. The plants are cleaning the water for the fish. Both the plants and the fish are produced pesticide- and antibiotics free for human consumption.
