Monthly Highlights -  March 2017
Edition 29
Primary Schools STEM Fair
CEMAST
8th, 9th and 10th March

Over 650 primary students visited the STEM Fair and took part in interactive Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths activities.

Students had the chance to experience life as cabin crew, sitting in a mock plane, practising emergency procedures.
There was the opportunity to build a water supply system, a competitive activity with teams of students pedalling a bike as fast as they could to ensure their water supply filled the reservoir first.
Students took part in role play, wearing costumes and using props, to discover what happens when an Air Ambulance is called to a mission.
There was the chance to learn about bones and joint replacements, with students being shown what bones look like when they break through x-rays.

The event was supported by 34 organisations, introducing and inspiring students to the relevance of STEM in the working world.
Thank you to all the organisations who took part.
