Message from the President

A warm welcome from myself and all on the County Executive to our first e-newsletter.
It’s set to be another exciting year for golf across Perth and Kinross and already we have been pressing forward with plans to make the 2016 season a special one for all.
We have enjoyed great success as a County in recent times and are determined to continue that trend.  However, it is vitally important that we continue to encourage and support all level of golfer.
Making all County events attractive to every club member is a main aim and we will be working with clubs and sponsors to achieve this. I urge all golfers to support your own club events and also those of the County.
There are exciting times ahead, with the recent amalgamation of the Ladies and Gents game in Scotland. The Executive have already been busy attending local and national meetings relating to this and we can report a joint working committee with the Perth & Kinross Ladies County Golf Association has been formed and talks have advanced to a point where we await further guidance from Scottish Golf.
I encourage you all to visit our website regularly to keep up to date with all the latest news. More immediately I invite all club Captains, Secretaries and relevant Convenors to attend a meeting at 7pm on Wednesday 17th February, at Craigie Hill GC, where you will given a presentation by key members of the Executive team on the focus & direction of your County Association.

Finally, I ask that you circulate this e-mail to all your members and friends. Every newsletter will carry a competition where super prizes can be won, simply by subscribing to this newsletter (see last article), with this first newsletter offering a prize of a fourball at Gleneagles.
Enjoy your golf.

All entries should be submitted to A new event for the juniors this year is the Junior Champions of Champions, which will be held on Sunday 1st May.
