Getting Ready to Have A Ball!

 

Northern Rivers community sector workers and their supporters are getting outfits of Glitter & Gold ready as they gear up for the 5th Annual Summerland Credit Union Community Sector Ball and Awards night, being held next Friday, November 27, at Lismore City Hall!


The dazzling night of entertainment, dining and dancing provides the opportunity to applaud the magnificent work of our dedicated community services workers and volunteers, with nominees lined up for the six categories of awards that will presented on the night.

Workshops for Victims of Domestic Violence Helps to Air Dirty Laundry

A T-Shirt printing workshop was held this Thursday 19th November from 10am – 2pm as part of the Dirty Laundry Day Project. A special installation will display the T-Shirts at the Lismore Shopping Square for the week of White Ribbon, from Monday 23rd to Friday 28th November, with other events being held around the region.

Sensory Santa 2015

Sensory Santa was created for families with children with additional needs who find it difficult to have a photo with Santa because of sensory barriers. He’ll be visiting Lismore Square on Tuesday 24th November 6pm-8pm and Tweed City on Sunday 6th December, 8am-10am.

Lismore Transit Centre Project Honoured at Sydney Awards

The Northern Rivers Social Development Council in partnership with Lismore City Council and the Lismore Environment Centre were thrilled to receive a commendation at the prestigious NSW Planning Institute Australia (PIA) Awards held in Sydney.The Lismore Transit Centre Project was commended for the Great Place Award in the state-wide 2015 Awards for Planning Excellence.
