Mijung Jarjums: Kids in Mind – A New Program For Happy Kids

Mijung Jarjums means ‘happy kids’ in Bundjalung language, and that’s just what this program is all about. Mijung Jarjums Kids in Mind is a new program designed to help promote wellbeing and resilience in our children and young people. It is a free program for children and young people aged 0-18 years who are showing early signs of, or are at risk of developing mental illness, and their families and carers within the Richmond Valley and Hinterland area.
There will be a morning tea at the Casino Neighbourhood Centre celebrating the Kids in Mind Program on 14th October 10.30-12.30pm. All are welcome to come along to meet the program staff, ask questions, and stay for morning tea.

Connecting Home works with people who are homeless, or at risk of homelessness, to achieve long-term housing goals - and they are often seeking all kind of household goods. GIVIT is a site where household items can be donated and where services can request donations of specific items.

NSW Ombudsman Reportable Conduct Forum 2016

A Reportable Conduct Forum to be hosted by the NSW Ombudsman will be held on Friday, 26 February 2016 in Central Sydney (venue TBC).
This Forum provides an important opportunity for the NSW Ombudsman to partner with all our stakeholders – from across the education, out-of-home care, disability, early childhood, religious, sporting and recreational sectors – to reflect on our progress, identify strengths and weaknesses and collectively contribute to an important conversation about the future direction of the reportable conduct scheme.
