Q: What is Amilia?
A: Amilia is the website we are using to process the registrations in our courses. It is a Canadian company with an office in the US, with data servers on Canadian soil to ensure your personal information is protected by Canadian privacy laws.
Q: I'm getting the eNewsletter, so why do I need another account with Amilia?
A: Anybody with an email address can subscribe to our eNewsletter, but this does not mean they have an account with us. Having an account in Amilia involves providing personal information such as name, address, telephone number and email address, and requires a password to protect that information.
Q: I registered by telephone or in person for a course, so how do I access my Amilia account?
A: When we helped you to register, we asked for your personal information such as name, address, telephone number and email address, and created your account for you. You would then have received an Activation Request sent to your email address (see example below).
Simply click the blue "Activate my account" link in that email, create and confirm a password, Create User, and then you should be able to log in to your new account.
If you are unsure what to do, ask for help from a tech-savvy person or phone us for help to prevent creating a duplicate account.
Q: So what can I do with my Amilia account?
A: This is the central place where you can manage your personal details, register or waitlist for a course, see your balance, and make payments. Simply log in and go to "My account" to get started.
Q: How do I know if I have successfully registered for a course?
A: When you have clicked on the course you want to take, you have to let Amilia know who to add. Click on the box next to the name of the person. A green checkmark means that person has been added to the course.
To add more courses, click Continue Shopping (and watch for those green checkmarks). To checkout and finalize, click the shopping cart (it will count the courses successfully added).
Q: Do you keep my credit card or bank account details in Amilia?
A: No, to protect your privacy, you will need to provide your credit card or bank account details each time you pay for your courses.
Q: Do I have to set up a new account when I want to register for classes in the Fall?
A: No, your account will not expire and can be used to register every term.
Q: I can't find the receipt that was emailed to me.
A: You can log in to your account, and see your purchase history with printable invoice. You can also email us and we can re-send to you. Our website always has the current information too.
