Osteoporosis is a loss of bone density that can occur as we age. It is responsible for over a million broken bones each year and is a major cause of fractures, back pain, spinal problems and loss of independence. We have been sharing helpful tips for bone health on our Facebook page. We also challenged our patients and colleagues to participate in the #JumpingJackChallenge
to raise awareness for the National Osteoporosis Foundation.
Many of our patients participated in the national #jumpingjackchallenge campaign to help raise awareness of osteoporosis disease. Here is one of our favorite videos.
Summertime Breaks and Pains

The bones of children are different than those of adults and require specialized pediatric care to promote proper healing and future growth. Dr. Adam Handwerger, our Pediatric Orthopedic Specialist, is trained to correctly diagnosis and treat these injuries in children.
Kids... never a dull moment. Click to read Dr. Handwerger's advice for preventing summertime breaks and pains.
