This is the month!

Every year, we look forward to May when we honor the graduates of The United States Naval Academy. On May 25th, the majestic Blue Angels will perform their show over Annapolis during the Commissioning Week celebrations. Atria Manressa is a magnificently restored estate and provides one of the best views of the show. They kindly open their grounds to the community and this year, invited Citizen Pride to offer our Naval Academy prints, illustrated by Joe Barsin. If you look carefully, you’ll see that Atria Manressa is included in our illustration because it truly is an icon of the city.

PROUD SHOUTS

BIG News! We are thrilled to announced that we signed a lease this week and will share retail space with other local artists and designers in downtown Annapolis!  Local by Design is a beautiful, new boutique created by the owners of Gallery 3976.  We’ll provide much more info on our FB page as we approach opening day, planned for May 18th

Joe Barsin was recently honored to be featured on The Annapolis Podcast which is hosted and produced by Scott MacMullan. Subscribe to the podcast to hear conversations with prominent Annapolitans as they discuss both historic and contemporary stories. It’s fabulous!

Fun Fact

The Mother of Mother’s Day is Anna Jarvis, recognized as the founder of the holiday in the U.S. in 1908. Ironically, Anna Jarvis never married and never had kids.
We want to honor all Mothers this Sunday, May 8th, especial our own; Carol Barsin (L) and Mary Bradbury (R). Thanks for tolerating all of our ‘art messes’ and supporting us as we followed our creative passions.
