Quick Hits From Over The Weekend
  • Not #1. NCAA Basketball is here, and #1 ranked University of Kentucky already lost 97-92 courtesy of #11 UCLA, ending the school's 42-game winning streak. We can't believe the Bruins would do something like this to UK superfan Ashley Judd.
  • Win/Lose. The Seattle Seahawks may have humiliated the Carolina Panthers 40-7, but they lost Earl Thomas, their best player on defense, with a cracked tibia in the process. Get ready to lick your lips Seahawk haters, because Thomas then tweeted that he's mulling over retirement.
  • Tiger Tiger Woods, Y'all. He may have finished the Hero World Challenge tournament in 15th place (out of 18), but Tiger Woods played some of the best golf we've seen out of the shell of his former self in the process. Woods finished -4 (for reference, winner Hideki Matsuyama finished -18) and even sank this nice chip from the bunker. He's not playing as great as he was when he was banging dozens of broads, but we'll take it.

The Main Event
Bowl mania has arrived!

No, we're not talking about the Denton, TX crowds we assume are gathering for Bowling For Soup's upcoming concert, we're talking college football, baby.

Starting with the championship playoffs, undefeated SEC champion #1 Alabama will take on Pac-12 champion #4 Washington, while ACC champion #2 Clemson will take on the team that wasn't good enough to play in their own conference's championship game #3 Ohio St. We'd be happy to bet your money on Alabama willing it all.

Thanks to Washington being selected for the championship playoffs, USC will represent the Pac-12 in the Rose Bowl, and not Pac-12 South winner Colorado. JuJu's excited. The Trojans will take on Big Ten conference winner Penn State. Check out the full bowl game schedule here.

There are always fans and schools who felt like they got passed over. Penn State says Washington's non-conference schedule was too easy, and Western Michigan went undefeated, and Michigan lost two games by a combined 4 points - sorry, Coach Harbaugh.

Good Sport
Punters Just Wanna Have Fun
Despite the NFL trying their best to ensure nobody is enjoying themselves, Marquette King, the dopest punter in the league, danced with an earlier-thrown flag yesterday. Don't worry, the No Fun League refs flagged him for it.

Bad Sport
The Producers
For reasons beyond human logic, the LA Rams extended head coach Jeff Fisher's contract by two years. During the five years under Fisher, the Rams boast a horrendous 31-44-1 record. Team owner Stan Kroenke must be testing out The Producers strategy to see if he can "make more money with a flop than he could with a hit."

G.O.A.T. of the Weekend (What is G.O.A.T.?)
Eric Berry. In his first time back in his home town since his chemotherapy treatments, the Kansas City Chiefs DB had two picks against the Atlanta Falcons, scoring on both, which helped seal a 29-28 victory. Berry played like the loser had to ride a horse, which he has no interest in doing.

Goat of the Weekend (What's a Goat?)
#23. The way this fan throws a football makes us think his dad was the inspiration behind Cat's In The Cradle. We're glad they had two refs watch over this future football star like a hawk to make sure he scored all three of his points legally.

Quote of the Weekend
"Let me know how the body works, because clearly mine don’t work the right way." - Draymond Green

The unofficial member of The Rockettes kicked another player, then criticized the NBA's rules around “unnatural acts.”
