A Couple of Great Tri Bikes for '17 & SRAM Introduces eTap WiFli

New product introductions in the bike industry, like the leaves in New England, are often at their peak in October. This year looks to be a banner year for tri bikes in particular as companies have finally fully dismissed any necessity of making things UCI legal and disc brakes are starting to be used to address one of the real mechanical challenge areas. Without further ado, check out the latest tri bikes from Parlee and Cervelo and check out SRAM's eTap system now being capable of accepting a 11-32.

Introducing the '17 Cervelo P5X

You may have seen our recent posts when we were the first shop in New England to have a Cervelo P5X on our floor on the day of the much anticipated release. The Cervelo P5X brings Cervelo back to its roots with a very futuristic, functional and potentially landmark design for a major manufacturer. Read why the Cervelo P5X should be on the short list for most any triathlete that fits on it well and wants to PR next year.

'17 Parlee TTiR

The Parlee TTiR has always made a fantastic tri bike due to its friendly geometry that fits many riders well, its build quality, its efficiency and ultra smooth ride. For '17, Parlee took all that was really good with the previous TTiR and made it better while addressing some of the places that could be more mechanically friendly. The first disc brake equipped production tri bike to market also happens to be very pretty...  Learn more.

SRAM Red eTap WiFli

The SRAM Red eTap wireless shifting system was released over the summer and it has been a really nice addition to the electronic shift system options from Campagnolo and Shimano. Now SRAM has introduced a longer cage eTap rear derailleur so that a 11-32 cassette can be used. This now makes eTap a great option for those looking for lower climbing gears and the benefits of electronic shifting.

Why We Do What We Do

Proper fit is crucial to your happiness, performance and comfort riding a bike. With so many well made bikes available, where you buy is often more important than what you buy today. If you have fit information from us (or somewhere else), we can use it to help you find the bikes and equipment that fit you best and to set it up properly.  There is no reason to guess and we make this available to every Fit Werx bike buyer (along with our full Pro Build to your fit numbers) at no additional charge.

The off-season is a great time to update your fit, have service work completed and get ready for next year in general. We want to earn your bike business and we know that we can offer you a great value in terms of fit, bike set-up and build quality.  Rider Matched Bikes means that we want the bike right the first time.   Learn more about the advantages of a bike from Fit Werx and let us know how we can help!
