Covid-19 Crisis
A Call for Collaboration

Dear IDC Members,

We write to you in solidarity. We know the communities you serve are facing unparalleled threats during this time. And with those threats, the experience of uncertainty, restriction and risk has escalated exponentially. We are committed more than ever to ensuring rights and dignity for all who migrate.

You've been working tirelessly to address the needs of communities in and under the threat of immigration detention; while also creating new frameworks for your organisations and initiatives to operate effectively under Covid-19. For all of this, we thank you for your resilience and leadership.

This crisis moment calls on us to harness our collective energy, ideas, and insights. We need each other. To this end, IDC is holding regional webinars over the next week for members to share reflections, updates, challenges and solutions from the ground. Our staff will follow-up in coming days with information about the following regional webinars:
  • Africa
  • Americas
  • Asia Pacific
  • Europe
  • Middle East & North Africa (MENA)
We look forward to coming together very soon. With much respect & support,

The IDC Team
