Earlier this year, I received a grant from the Pollock-Krasner Foundation. This grant allowed me to develop new ideas and to work on my project, "Water, is Taught by Thirst" for the last four months including five weeks in Berlin and four weeks at Blue Mountain Center in the Adirondacks. You'll get to see my new work in the exhibit at UMass Lowell.

My catalogue, "Be Water, My Friend" is forthcoming in November. It is a catalogue of my past four years of work about water and its crisis.

This catalogue is accompanied by wonderful essays written by Andrew Mroczek, Associate Director of Exhibitions at Lesley University College of Art and Design, and Michele L'Heureux, Director of Beard and Weil Galleries at Wheaton College. And Wenonah Hauter, Founder and Executive Director of Food and Water Watch, wrote a very informative essay that's inspiring us to stand up to corporations that put profit before people, and to protect our water.

Both my project and the creation of this catalogue are supported by the Pollock-Krasner Foundation. I'm extremely grateful for their generous support.

Water, is taught by thirst

Water, is taught by thirst.
Land—by the Oceans passed.
Transport by throe-
Peace—by its battles told—
Love, by Memorial Mold—
Birds, by the Snow.

Blue Mountain Center in the Adirondacks
I was so fortunate to be back again at Blue Mountain Center for four weeks from 8/28 through 9/25. It was a glorious month with beautiful weather. I swam in the lake with fellow residents everyday, hiked Blue Mountain and Castle Rock, did a 12mile canoeing trip, practiced yoga on the dock every morning, and I got to work on my art all other time. I loved my boathouse studio and enjoyed working in the studio every minute. It was a very fruitful, rejuvenating and glorious month.

With much gratitude,
My favorite lake, Eagle Lake in the Adirondacks in upstate New York. At BMC, my studio was in the boathouse. This was the view from my studio.
Morning yoga on the dock. My daily routine at BMC was to start a day with yoga on the dock, and swim in the lake at 11:30am and 5pm.
