May 3, Traffic Disruption on N. Lexington and 18th Street
Dear Tara-Leeway Heights CA,
We received the email below from the APS construction team working on the Stormwater Vault at the Cardinal ES site. There will a traffic disruption tomorrow:
Good day everyone,
We continue to make good progress on the construction of the underground detention system at the school site. We are about to start another major milestone task next week. Starting May 3, weather permitting we will take the delivery of the first set of underground units to the site. This is scheduled to be a one-day delivery activity. We will have a handful of trailers making the delivery. Deliveries to site are expected during regular work hours on the site which starts at 7am. There will likely be periodic traffic interruptions at the intersection of N. Lexington and 18th Road as the trailers arrive to access the site. Please advise the community to avoid that intersection on that day so as not to be delayed for long periods of time. Flaggers will be on site to direct the trucks and traffic in and around the site. The overall delivery schedule will clearer once the first deliveries come in and the Gilbane team can analyze and determine the durations needed to offload the units and set them in place. These are the units for the main vault, vault 1.
If you have any questions or concerns, please let us know.
Thanks
