You are most cordially invited to join your Tara-Leeway Heights Civic Board of Directors for our meeting this Wednesday January 12 at 7:00 p.m. The meeting will be held virtually, and a Zoom link is attached; the link is also available at our taraleewayheights.org website.
We will be discussing next steps in our efforts to introduce better pedestrian safety measures at the busy intersection of N Patrick Henry Drive and N 18th St. Your TLHCA board has been engaged with the county on this issue that has become even more urgent since the opening of our new Cardinal School, but the matter remains unresolved.
We will also consider collaborating with our eastern neighbors from Waycroft-Woodlawn Civic Association on pushing for safer pedestrian crosswalks along busy Washington Blvd between Westover and Glebe Rd.
We'll have updates on the Cardinal School stormwater detention vault, Virginia Hospital Center expansion and Plan Langston Blvd. -- plus any issues our members may wish to bring to our attention.
