2023 Review
As we enter 2023, we would like to pay reference to some of the highlights and main projects of the past year. It was a time to rebuild after things began to open up again post Covid- 19 and was ultimately a much brighter time. However, it is important to acknowledge this was still a difficult time for many families and individuals living in poverty. We will continue to work towards our goals next year in supporting families and creating a more equal and just world for all. Click here to read ATD Ireland’s strategic goals for 2022-2026. Thank you to everyone who supported us this year including our community activists, families, volunteers, interns, funders and all the organisations we worked with.
2022 marked the 35th anniversary of the first 17th October gathering in Paris in 1987 and the 30th anniversary of the United Nations recognition of the day. The Dublin event is one of many events happening across Ireland and across the world. This new film highlights the Dublin event at the Poverty and Human Rights Stone Custom House Quay Dublin.
We have now finished putting together a short film of the highlights of the day, centred around the six powerful and moving testimonies as well as the wonderful music. It takes great courage to stand in front of so many people and tell your story in the hopes of helping others so we applaud everyone who shared their words and challenging experiences with us on the 17 October.
