Horses auctioned by Prinsjesdag Foal Auction have drawn attention more than once in the past few weeks. Young stallions received their licences, talents excelled in their age categories and also top-class horses such as Boston STH and Bonne Chance CW jumped into the limelight again.

We would like to meet you in our stand at the KWPN Stallion Approvals next February!

Two horses sold at Foal Auction Prinsjesdag dominated the VSN final for 3-year-old dressage horses in Ermelo. Hannelinde TC (Dream Boy x Sunny Boy) took home the VSN-title with an incredible score of 53 points, including a 9.5 for trot! But Hannelinde TC was not the only successful Prinsjesdag-sold horse: Hummer (Charmeur x Daddy Cool) earned fantastic third place with 51.5 points.

Dream Boy-daughter Hannelinde TC was auctioned at Foal Auction Prinsjesdag in 2012 and is closely related to the Grand Prix horses Uiver and Pavarottie. Hannelinde was bred by G.A.E.M. van der Linden from Vlierden and is currently owned by Tim Coomans from Oud-Beijerland. Judges Tineke Bartels, Imke Schellekens and Dana van Lierop gave Hannelinde TC a well-deserved 9.5 for trot and a 9 for canter, the ride ability and overall impression. After riding her guest rider Dana van Lierop gave the Dream Boy daughter also a 9.

Hummer (Charmeur x Daddy Cool) was bred by J. Duivenvoorde from Alkmaar and is a son of the mare Caresia, the half-sister to the KWPN approved stallion Dream Boy – also the sire to winner Hannelinde TC. Hummer is owned by J.J. Once auctioned by Prinsjesdag and later licensed by the KWPN, the stallion Alicante (Casall x Indoctro) recently made his debut under the Olympic showjumping rider Abdel Saïd. This top-class rider recently took over the reins from the Belgian Chloé Vranken and started Alicante in the international two star event in Opglabbeek.

Alicante was born in 2005 at Studfarm ’t Maalwater and he is a son of the celebrated Casall Ask. He was trained at international level by Julia Kayser and was last year sold to the stables of Tal Milstein. Chloé Vranken successfully started the stallion for Milstein in the last few months but now Abdel Saïd has taken over. In Opglabbeek the grey did not touch a fence in any round which made for a successful debut for Alicante and Saïd.
