BOOKINGS UPDATE - READ CAREFULLY!
The committee has carefully considered a wide range of issues surrounding bookings, cancellations and the rolling forward of bookings. Our dedicated bookings officer Linda works extremely hard every week to manage bookings and to assist members with queries. There's a large and unnecessary workload being created by a limited number of members not self-managing bookings and defaulting to a call or email at the first hurdle. The committee wish to remind all members that the Booking Officer role is voluntary and not a professional Help Desk.
Members should do their very best to work through the booking system themselves or with the assistance of another member. Try not to call or email Linda unless absolutely necessary.
Cancellations and changes in booking dates should be made through the booking system. There's no need to call Linda and ask her to undertake this task on your behalf.
- Bookings may be cancelled up to four days before the booking commences eg by 8pm on the Monday night prior to a Friday booking. The refund for that booking will be made at the end of the season, less 3%, which is the payment processing fee taken by Paypal.
- Bookings may be rolled forward up to four days before the booking commences eg by 8pm on the Monday night prior to a Friday booking. There's no cost to rebook.
So if your plans change or the weather is looking grim, it's better to roll the booking forward in the system than to cancel. You do have the option to cancel this re-booking at a later stage of course, but it must be 4 days before the re-booked accommodation period commences.
