We welcome a new grower, Pig Mountain from Altamont, to the market this week! Richard and Christia Crook have added this pasture-raised pig enterprise to their family farm, Dayspring Farm. Their hogs are Red Wattle crosses, born and raised on-farm. Check out their sausages now on the market!

Summer Fields will have regular cuts (chops, whole legs, stew, ground, and ribs) of grass-fed lamb for sale on the market after November 3rd. If you would like a  special cut  you may pre-order that through the market now - to be delivered after Nov. 3rd. Also, if you are interested in whole or half lamb packages, click here to let Jess know. 

Dogwood Valley Greenhouse in Hillsboro has added two types of seasonal table decorations, baskets and planters, both with colorful fall plants to brighten your home well past Thanksgiving. They've also added four colors of Ornamental Kale, which can be planted out in your garden for color which will last till the very coldest part of the winter.  These are much longer-lasting than mums, and a bit more unusual.  They are in limited supply, so get them soon!  The weather is perfect for planting perennials in the garden, allowing them to establish strong root systems before winter, to produce spectacular blooms next spring.

Wheeler Orchard from Dunlap has raw, fresh squeezed cider on the market. It is made from their own sustainably grown apples with no additives. Each batch is a blend of sweet and tart apples and Laura Damron, our food hub coordinator, describes it as the best she has tasted.You'll find it in the beverage category. Wheeler Orchard also has apple butter available.
Bountiful Harvest from Morrison has molasses and peanuts as well as many fall crops such as red Russian kale, arugula, and salad mix. They also have cabbage, broccoli, and Brussels sprouts! Be sure to order early to get some of the last heirloom tomatoes and other summer crops.
Michael's Farm in Centertown is now offering gorgeous nutritious organically grown collard greens as well as potatoes of all colors.
