Market News

Darlene from Brown's Hollar Creations in Tracy City, will have lots of eggs and turnip greens on the market this week. She will also have hand lotions (unscented, gardenia, or vanilla);  Lip Balm in cylinder containers (vanilla, peppermint, unscented, or tangy tangerine); and lotions and balms made with essential oils, her beeswax and no dyes or preservatives.
The Son and the Starrs, in Monteagle, has added Gingerbread biscotti; assorted Christmas themed chocolate pops that are great for stocking stuffers, gifts and class parties; and Christmas Fairy Wands!

This week we welcome a new grower to the market! Yellowbird Farms, from Mc Minnville, is a Certified Naturally Grown Farm that provides fine artisan meats through production practices that are environmentally sustainable and ethical. Their animals are certified grass fed and finished and Animal Welfare Approved as humanly raised. They are  pleased to offer premium quality Katahdin lamb this week. Cuts offered include: legs, racks, shanks, chops, ground lamb, and stew meat.

KIC Produce, out of Tullahoma, has listed their 27-week CSA on the market. This is a subscription for a weekly basket of assorted produce. This is a way of being assured you will be able to get their beautiful produce for 27 whole weeks!

Michael's Farm, from Centertown, is back on the market this week with Kennebec potatoes, turnips, and mustard greens. They have also added some NEW items: cabbage (large and personal sizes available) as well as Red Lasota potatoes.

Holiday Schedule

Christmas and New Years Day fall on Fridays this year so the South Cumberland Farmer's Market will function as usual on Tuesdays. We appreciate your support and hope you enjoy the holidays!
