Plan your Christmas feasts now!

Aside from the regular food items, there are also a  number of small gifts available.

Farmer Brown's sends the following news:

  • They are pleased to introduce a Deluxe Lettuce Mix -  1 gallon bag full (approx. 1 lb.) of 4 types of Hydroponic lettuce including a red, Triple washed, cut, packaged and ready to eat!
  • Christmas week ONLY, they are also offering a head lettuce special - Buy 2 heads of Lettuce at regular price and get 1 (our choice) FREE!
  • Additionally they have Micro-Greens available in limited supplies (Upland Cress, Spicy mix and Red Mustard in growing trays. Sunflower sprouts available by request).
  • Aside from lettuce and greens they also have pepper jelly made from whole pureed fruit (not juice) and peppers (no added colors).  Perfect for holiday parties and gifting. Pepper Jelly is mildly warm and is excellent over cream cheese with wheat crackers.
Bountiful Harvest wishes all of their customers a joyous holiday season! This week ONLY they will offer broccoli on the market. The broccoli out of their personal garden has done so well this fall that they can't eat it fast enough! The large heads are gorgeous! Enjoy it as a delicious side dish at your holiday meal.

Jess Wilson of Summer Fields (and In Town Organics) wishes you all happiness and sends news that Summer Fields will have more lamb available in March, just in time for Easter.

Holiday Schedule

Christmas and New Year's Day fall on Fridays this year so the South Cumberland Farmer's Market will function as usual on Tuesdays. We appreciate your support and hope you enjoy the holidays!

Rooted Here Board Meeting and Annual Meeting set for January

The Rooted Here Board of Directors will meet on January 12th at 2 pm at the Sewanee Community Center for a regular board meeting.

The Annual Membership Meeting for Rooted Here is scheduled for January 26th at 2 pm at the Sewanee Community Center.
