I’ve been making and sharing more of my fine art lately, posting it at emilyshepard.art on Instagram. Unlike graphic facilitation – where I listen intently to others – in my artwork, I listen to myself. I notice what emerges from my pen or brush and any words that bubble up.
Later, I cut pieces that interest me and rearrange them to make a composition. Here’s a video of me creating a piece in that way (sped up 2x). Soon I’ll set up a way for people to purchase my art online, but for now please follow me on Instagram, or check out my art website at emilyshepard.com.
In terms of stretching your art muscle, with Halloween just around the corner, I wanted to share a 5 minute video about how to draw pumpkins. And, if you’d prefer to just download this image, and color it in on your own, feel free!
I’m always curious to know where you get stuck, and what you want to learn next, so let me know!
