You Need to Be Part of a Praying Church
By Greg Sanders

Acts 12:5 But while Peter was in prison, the church prayed very earnestly for him.

Hopefully you will never have to spend time in prison for sharing your faith, or for any other reason for that matter. However, there will be seasons in life where you will need the faith and prayers of others to be extended towards you. One of the gifts that God gives you through belonging to a local church family is the reality that you do not have to go through difficulties alone.

As a member of the body of Christ, you can receive exponential power and deliverance in your life when there is a group of people praying for you. This reality of the church praying literally walked Peter right out of prison and delivered him to the spot where the people were praying for Him. This was such a miracle that neither Peter nor the people praying could believe it. This is a great reminder of God’s faithfulness. God can move in ways that will be beyond belief when the church is praying together.  If you are in a season of difficulty, don't go through it alone. Enlist the help of praying believers who can pray you through the hard times of life.

Today’s Challenge: Allow God to use you to pray for others. When you hear of a person in need, don't just say that you will pray for them. Pray for them. Join with them in their struggle by asking God to give them the needed strength for that hour. Pray for them just as you would desire for them to pray for you.
