Refuse to Elevate Your Failure Above Your Future
By Greg Sanders

Luke 22:31 Simon, Simon, Satan has asked to sift each of you like wheat. 32But I have prayed for you, Simon, that your faith will not fail. And when you have turned back, strengthen your brothers.”

Your future is more valuable than your failure. I realize that you would never purchase a product you knew would break under pressure. A good coach would never pick a player he knew would choke under pressure. Yet, Jesus chooses to use people who He knows will crack under the right conditions. This reality begs the question, “Why would a perfect God choose to use imperfect people?” Why would He use people He knew were prone to failure? Jesus knows your future is more valuable than your failure.

Jesus does not plan your failures. However, He does give plans for your life that are greater than your failure. Before Peter failed, Jesus let him know that this failure must not keep him from fulfilling his God given purpose.  The failures in your life do not have to be final or fatal. God has a purpose for your life. No matter what you have done or what has been done to you, you must not allow failure to override God’s future for your life.

Today’s Challenge: Refuse to elevate your failure above your future. Embrace God’s grace and strength for your life by following Him today.  Realize that God has a purpose for your life that is greater than the problems you are facing. Walk out of failure by walking into the future God has for you.
