God Wants Your Life to Display His Glory
By Greg Sanders
Judges 7:1 So Jerub-baal (that is, Gideon) and his army got up early and went as far as the spring of Harod. The armies of Midian were camped north of them in the valley near the hill of Moreh. 2 The Lord said to Gideon, “You have too many warriors with you. If I let all of you fight the Midianites, the Israelites will boast to me that they saved themselves by their own strength.
God wants to receive glory from your life. God wants your life to bring Him glory so He is going to orchestrate things in your life in such a way that He gets the glory and not you. As you are reading, say this with me: “I was designed to bring God glory.” God is active in your life right now to bring attention to His greatness, His power, and His character. You may or may not be participating in the way He wants you to respond, but that is what He desires.
When problems come we often look for the quickest and easiest way out. However, God operates a little differently. He creates opportunities to bring His glory to circumstances that look completely destitute.
We look for the sure thing and God wants us to understand that He is the sure thing.
Everything we read about God in the Bible and everything we believe as believers points to this one fact: God wants to be involved in the lives of His people. We must realize that He still wants to be involved today and He wants people to see His involvement.  The opening verses in Judges 7 displays that fact that He wants everyone to know that victory is from His power and not their own power.
I am not sure what battle you may be facing today. Maybe your battle is a physical battle, maybe it’s a relational battle, or maybe it’s a battle against your old way of living. Here is the deal:  God wants to be fully present in your life and move in a way so that everyone knows that it is God who has made the difference.  He wants to bring honor to His name through your life.
Today’s Challenge: Pray and ask the Lord to lead you through today’s battles and opportunities in a way that does not just seem best, but truly is the best way to bring God glory through your life. Realize that He desires to play an active part in working through your life.
