You Can't Hide Forever.
By Greg Sanders
Exodus 2:2 The woman became pregnant and gave birth to a son. She saw that he was a special baby and kept him hidden for three months. 3But when she could no longer hide him, she got a basket made of papyrus reeds and waterproofed it with tar and pitch. She put the baby in the basket and laid it among the reeds along the bank of the Nile River.
Moses Mother knew she was entrusted with a precious gift from God. She did everything she could to keep the child safe but there came a time when she could hide him no longer, and she had to trust him to the protection and the care of God.
God puts special gifts in each of us. There are seasons of our life where our chief duty is to guard, protect and nourish that gift. However, there has to be a day when you can hide it no longer. Hidden gifts cannot set people free or deliver the purpose they were intended to provide. Moses could not deliver the people while buried in solitude. He needed the freedom and training from being raised in Pharaoh's house. There comes a moment where the only way to see your gift flourish is to trust it to the care of God.
Today’s Challenge: Don’t be afraid to let others see the gift of God in you or to put into action. It is in the vulnerable moments that God can use you to add great value to His Kingdom.
