Examining Most Endangered Places Programs

What are the impacts and effectiveness of Most Endangered Historic Places programs? How do they help raise awareness and offer solutions for preservation issues?

This presentation includes Kendra Parzen, field officer for the National Trust for Historic Preservation, discussing the National Trust’s America’s 11 Most Endangered Historic Places program, and Sonja Ingram, preservation field services manager, covering Preservation Virginia’s Most Endangered Historic Places list.

The webinar features La’Veesha Allen Rollins on the importance of protecting St. Mary’s/Samaria Church Battlefield in Charles City County, and Mary Koik and Dan Davis from the American Battlefield Trust on the New Market Heights Battlefield in Henrico County. Both sites are included on this year's Virginia's Most Endangered Historic Places list as Civil War Battlefields in Which United States Colored Troops (USCTs) Fought
