We are going to Cochabamba! After months of praying and making preparations, the Lord has provided a way for our family to go to Bolivia together in November. Adaline was able to get her yellow fever vaccine and passport without much difficulty. We are now prayerfully preparing for the work that God has for us November 9-17. We will be meeting our Bolivian national coordinators, Osvi and Ale (along with their kids), in Cochabamba to do "on the job" training with potential partners in the city. Our goal is to have a summer journey there in 2018 so we will be actively setting up the logistics for that.
We are very excited about what God has been doing on the streets of Martinsburg over the last few weeks as we have seen more people get involved in our weekly prayer walks. There are currently groups going out on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday. We are praying that God would allow us to continue to build on the relationships we have formed to see many hear the truth of the gospel in our city. Abigail was able to attend a conference this month that focused on programs happening throughout the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia to promote physical and spiritual health. We are praying that God will leverage her nursing background for even further spread of the gospel.
Lately, we have also had to put a lot of hours into some much needed organizational administration. Ryan has been working strategically on a communication and marketing campaign for the ministry that will be used in the coming months. And Abigail has been working to update the use of our database and improving the communication and contact with donors and participants.
Ryan has been very busy with the preparations for the Cape Verde team in October and we are also working to build up a team for the next journey he will lead in April to Honduras. We are so excited about the partnership the God has allowed us to build with Global Year and the opportunity we have to advance the gospel in Honduras. The team will be entering into a small village outside of the city of San Pedro Sula where the Global Year students will be serving as teachers in the local school. We are praying that God will allow the relationships that they are building to be fertile ground for multiplying disciples to be made. We would love for you to be a part of this journey with us.
