Opening Night - Tickets selling fast!
There are only very limited tickets left for the festival's most iconic events! Join Festival Patron, Bryan Brown AM, and the Festival Team this Friday night, 23 August, in officially opening the eighth edition of the St.George Bank Lebanese Film Festival. Indulge in Lebanese canapes and a selection of Lebanese wine and beer on arrival, followed by the screening of comedy film, Wanted at the Bryan Brown Theatre in Bankstown.

'Are you Glad I'm Here?', a Lebanese-American drama
This bilingual drama-comedy follows Nadine, a Lebanese woman, and Kirsten, an American girl, as they become friends in a story of self-discovery and loyalty. Kirsten, a millennial American girl befriends Nadine, a Lebanese housewife and disrupts her ordered life. One night, they become accidental partners-in-crime.
Noor Gharzeddine, director, is a New York Based Lebanese-American. The film has been awarded at a number of international film festivals.
Are You Glad I'm Here is screening once only, on Saturday, 24 August at 6.00pm at Hoyts Bankstown.

'Rafiki' - a Lebanese produced Kenyan film
This film was co-produced in Lebanon, representing the contribution of Lebanese production in international cinema.
“Good Kenyan girls become good Kenyan wives,” but Kena and Ziki long for something more. Despite the political rivalry between their families, the girls resist and remain close friends, supporting each other to pursue their dreams in a conservative society. When love blossoms between them, the two girls will be forced to choose between happiness and safety.
Rafiki is screening at Hoyts Bankstown on 24 August at 9pm or Hoyts Broadway on Wednesday 4 September at 6.45pm.
