This Christmas and summer break, enjoy the extended Lebanese Film Festival On-Demand edition

This year has continued to throw challenges at us, particularly in Sydney where scaled back Christmas celebrations and changes to state border restrictions has meant that many will be spending Christmas at home.

The Lebanese Film Festival team has extended its on-demand, online offering to provide our audiences with some holiday viewing. This means you'll be able to access our program of 17 feature, short and documentary films from the comfort of your own home or in the company of friends.

To get your fix of Lebanese cinema, head to our website, LFF.org.au. You can enjoy individual films, or buy our Full Festival Bundle for just $29.99, which will give you access to all films until 25 January 2021. Below are some of the film highlights.

We wish you and your families are happy and safe Christmas, and best wishes for 2021. We hope you enjoy the films!

Last year's opening film, 'WANTED' was a crowd favourite and its now back by popular demand. Four aged care residents break out of their home to stop development on a site that is dear to one of them. Their antics and adventures offer some great, light hearted fun. Click here to stream or read more.
We're very excited to be screening '1982', starring Nadine Labaki, in this year's On-Demand program. Set amid the 1982 Israeli invasion of Lebanon, it is the last day of school and 11-year-old Wissam. He is determined to tell his classmate Joanna that he loves her, while his teachers – on different sides of the political divide – try to mask their fears. Click here to stream or read more.
Unfortunately, racism is still alive and well in many parts of our world. One unknown yet very powerful story is 'THE ROMEY LYNCHINGS', a story of racial violence against Lebanese immigrants in 1929 Lake City, Florida. This documentary covers the story of Director Joshua Sabey’s grandparents who were murdered by the KKK. Click here to stream or read more.
Also back by popular demand is 'ON THE FOOTSTEPS OF CHRIST'. Take a biblical aged journey through Southern Lebanon with a group of school children, who are also learning more about Lebanon's rich and ancient spiritual and archaeological heritage. Click here to stream or read more.
