PARTICIPATE IN THE 2021 AIPN CORPORATE SPONSOR PROGRAM
As an independent, neutral, non-profit organization, the AIPN relies on annual corporate sponsorship support to maintain its cost-effectiveness while offering the highest-value services aimed to help members like you be better prepared to meet the challenges of today's competitive and changing global energy market. We know that 2020 has been a difficult year, especially for the oil & gas industry. We also recognize that there are still many uncertainties that still lie ahead of us, and that is why we believe that the AIPN is more important to our membership than ever before.

Through the support of our Corporate Sponsors, and the dedication of our volunteer members, this year AIPN has:
  • released the Unitization and Unit Operating, Offshore Drilling and Asset Sale and Purchase Agreements, which concluded a substantial industry-wide drafting effort for all three of these agreements. New committees are in place or have been formed to revise AIPN’s most popular contract – the 2012 Joint Operating Agreement and the 2006 Gas Sales Agreement, and to develop a long-term FOB LNG Sale and Purchase Agreement and an AMI Agreement. Click here to view all AIPN drafting committees.
  • held our Negotiations Skills Workshop in Mexico City and our highly-valued Core Course in Lisbon, both prior to the global COVID-19 lockdowns that have temporarily halted our in-person events.
  • continued to host more than 100 smaller events through its nine regional chapters, shifting this year from live events to webinars (which are available for remote on-demand access by our membership) to reach our members at both the local and global levels. Click here to view AIPN’s event calendar.
  • continued to support industry research (including our most recent Research Paper A Global Review of Joint Operating Agreement Disputes), as well as numerous student outreach programs. To date, the AIPN has awarded more than 120 academic scholarships, hosted an annual writing competition for nearly 20 years, and continues to fund summer research positions for students each year.
  • provided countless student scholarships to attend its annual conferences.
  • developed online model contract training modules to bring training to our membership, wherever they may be.
  • continued to support and to provide a forum for our Young Negotiators and Student Clubs
We do not plan on stopping there! We eagerly await the opportunity to begin hosting our live training again, including:
  • the established workshops such as the Model Contracts Workshop, Negotiation Skills Workshop, and Oil & Gas Asset Valuation and Decision Analysis Workshop which provide in-depth, interactive education,
  • the inaugural Above Ground Risk Workshop, AIPN’s newest training event focused on the identification, evaluation and mitigation of above ground risks,
  • our intense contract training courses for International Oil & Gas Contracts and Negotiations (the Core Course and the Short Course),
  • the return of our Gas Course, which addresses the full spectrum of exploration, development, production and commercialization of global natural gas and LNG, and
  • the AIPN’s flagship annual conference, the International Petroleum Summit, which continues to gain recognition as one of the industry’s best for networking and staying up-to-date on important developments.
In the interim, we are actively developing new model contracts, training and seminars for our membership, and are working to develop a more comprehensive online offering for our members that will supplement our popular live courses and events, so stay tuned.

But we need your continued help.  Please encourage your company to renew or become a sponsor of the AIPN, volunteer to support our efforts and participate in our broad offering of events, online and in person as soon as we can do so safely.

Volunteer
In all AIPN activities - for example local chapter events, international conferences and workshops, mentoring and drafting committees to name a few – our members play a crucial role and this activity is voluntary. As an organization, this volunteerism is vital to fulfilling our mission, but we also see this as a great member benefit and valuable continued development activity. Our members that are active like this develop their subject matter knowledge, organizational skills, their global industry network and invariably get a sense of satisfaction out of delivering a quality product with fellow members. AIPN would highly encourage you and others in your organization to play an active role in our activities. If interested in getting more involved, please email John@aipn.org.
