December news: Innovation ramp-up...

During the month of December we saw a lot of items with innovation engineering focus come together, below is a snapshot with links, see the full PDRL web for all the activities..

Research: Mikael Johnsson presented his PhD thesis "Innovation Enablers and Their Importance for Innovation Teams" in front of family, friends and colleagues. Work done in the research profile and mainly with Volvo CE. The spotlight was also on the future of data driven product development and value driven design. Shafiqul Islam presented his licentiate thesis "Shear Fracture and Delamination in Packaging Materials: A study of experimental methods and simulation techniques" made in collaboration with TetraPak in the research profile. You'll find our research publications fully downloadable into DIVA system!

Education: The Global Innovation project with Stanford ME310 is starting up. Volvo CE is the client and "Elephants to Ants" the theme as we talk autonomy and automation. Value Innovation course presented their outcomes of the autumn. Now is also the time to submit thesis proposals for our engineers to work with during the spring.

Collaboration: It is important to interact with society and also in December we took part in outreach activities. Johan Wall held a workshop with youngsters at Nättrabyskolan. Marco Bertoni took part in a national event on business models for product development companies.
