Telephone problems

Dear <<First Name>>
Telephone problems

We understand there have been several problems with the telephone service in Woolavington over the past few days.

Apparently the problems have arisen as a result of the roadworks between Puriton and Woolavington requiring the replacement of the very old telephone cabling between the Puriton exchange and Woolavington.

When the new cabling is connected problems can arise with either no landline access at all or you may be allocated the wrong number.

As one of our members discovered, because of the Data Protection Act, Open Reach only have access to telephone numbers, addresses etc. if you are a BT customer. If companies like TalkTalk and Sky are your providers Open Reach only know there is a problem when those providers report it as they do not have access to the databases of other companies.

So, if you have a problem report it as soon as possible to your provider and, if our member’s experience is normal, it will probably be corrected very quickly.
