Dear <<First Name>>
Tesco email scam
Avon and Somerset Police have heard about a Tesco Email Scam from another Neighbourhood Watch scheme. The email claims to be from Tesco saying that “You Are Our Winner”. It doesn’t say what you have won but asks you to click on a link to confirm your identity.

Please don’t click on these links as you may download a virus onto your computer. At the very least it will try and get your personal details. The email comes from a company in Kentucky in the United States.

As with any email you get unexpectedly from someone you don’t know, delete the message without clicking on any of the links.

Possible PPE scam
One of our members has reported that a Chigwell friend of hers warns about people dressed in PPE knocking on doors, saying they are from the NHS and offering Covid-19 tests. Having accessed entrance to the properties they are then stealing from the inhabitants.

We are unaware of this scam operating in our area but be prepared.

Never allow any stranger into your property. Never buy from or sell to callers at your door.
IF YOU WISH TO CONTACT YOUR VILLAGE LEADER, PLEASE CLICK ON HIS/HER NAME IN THE BOX BELOW.
Only use the "Reply" feature if your message contains information that you wish the ewatch co-ordinator to share with all members.
If your village is  not listed below, it is probably because your village does not have a Watch Scheme, or that the Scheme is not formally linked with the e-watch service.  All Polden Villages are welcome and we hope others will join in with us soon.
