Severe Weather Policy
Should there ever be a need to cancel or postpone Sunday morning services or any large event (involving the majority of the congregation) due to severe weather, you will be notified the following three ways:
- An email will be sent out to everyone who is already on our email list. Join the church email list HERE.
- An alert will be posted on the Hillcrest Evangelical Free Church Facebook page.
- It will also appear on television on 1011 News and 1011now.com.
In regard to Wednesday night ministries (Women’s Bible Study, Adult Bible Study, Hillcrest Kids, Inside Out and Sr. High Small groups, etc), if Seward Public Schools cancels classes or lets out early due to weather, we will automatically cancel our evening activities at Hillcrest. We will do our best to share cancellations via the Hillcrest Facebook page. We would encourage you to share the post to make it more visible to others.
As always, if at any time you have a concern about icy roads or snowfall and believe travel would be unsafe, we encourage you to exercise your best judgment and decide for yourself if you should simply stay home.
