Digital Equity Survey (new Feb. 2023)

HCS is required to annually collect and report information on student digital access to the New York State Education Department (NYSED). This collection will help NYSED identify specific needs and target resources and funding opportunities when they become available. We ask that you please respond to this survey on behalf of each child in your household in grades PreK-8. Students in grades 9-12 will be completing the survey in school. Thank you!

Students have some fun in observance of “Global School Play Day”

Global School Play Day is an annual observance that promotes the importance of unstructured, regular play for children. This year’s celebration fell on Feb. 1, and fifth and sixth graders had some fun in Technology class, playing battleship, molding with Play-Doh, and crafting and drawing. We could all use some more unstructured play! It was a nice reset for all!

To promote direct, open, and respectful communication and ensure that questions and concerns can be addressed in an effective manner, the District has developed this communication chain.  If your concerns or questions have not been addressed/resolved after following the appropriate steps in the communication protocol, you are invited to contact the Board of Education. The public is asked to submit questions for consideration to the Board in writing, since public forum is not a question and answer period. It is a time for public input to be considered as it relates to items on the agenda, or for future consideration.

To view the district’s public comment procedures and to learn more about communicating with the HCSD Board of Education, please visit https://www.heuvelton.k12.ny.us/. You can access the Board of Education page through the “About Us” dropdown.
