UPDATE - EXTENDED RSVP DATE FOR ELECTION OBSERVERS FROM CHURCHES TO REGISTER!
Election Observers Urgently needed! Will you respond to the challenge to serve your city?
SACLI is calling on all church leaders to mobilise their fellow leaders and members to register as Election Observers in the upcoming Local Government Elections being held on 3 August 2016. Volunteer Election Observers will be accredited as part of a South African Council of Churches (SACC) team.
These elections are crucially important for the future our cities and our nation. Violence has been increasing country wide and peace makers are urgently required to stand up.
Election Observers are neutral citizens who can testify that voting has been carried out in a transparent, free and fair way. They provide a stabilizing effect and encourage peace on election day.
If you or members of your church could volunteer as observers don’t delay! Be a part of history by responding today!
Registration is urgent and must happen before Friday 29 July at 1pm.
To register email firstname.lastname@example.org with your full name, ID Number, home address and the name of your church.
You will be required to undertake a half day of training, probably on 30 July 2016 depending on your region.
