Christmas Eve,
Thursday 24 December
In the interest of public safety this year, and to include many more people than we could accommodate in church due to Covid-19 restrictions on numbers attending, we’ve decided to offer on-line provision only
for the following special favourite services:
‘Waiting for Jesus’ 4:00pm
Click on the link below for this service
https://www.alrewasallsaints.church/church-life/live-stream
In the warmth and comfort of your own home, have your favourite soft toys ready to ‘wait for Jesus’ as we invite you to join in telling the wonderful Christmas story with Vicar John, our Curate Ashley, and our puppet friends Mikey and Millie….and be prepared for some very special surprises along the way!!
Late Night Christmas Celebration Service 9:00pm
Click on the link below for this on line service
https://www.alrewasallsaints.church/church-life/live-stream
Experience the wonder and joy of the birth of our Saviour though the creative use of SONG, STORY AND CANDLELIGHT
in a service designed to take the place of the traditional ‘Midnight Mass’.

Can you help to support All Saints Church?
All Saints Church is heavily dependent on voluntary donations and income from events in order to fulfil its ministry to the local and wider communities. The continuing pandemic is having a material impact on our income. If you feel able, and would like to support us at this time, donations can be made via our Just Giving page.
With our huge thanks and appreciation!

A note from Elizabeth………………….
I watched with excitement this week, the rollout of the first vaccine against Covid -19. One of the first people in the world to receive the vaccine was 91-year-old Martin Kenyon. He became an overnight star but his matter of fact approach was an example to us all. He was seen as an epitomy of the determined, courageous people of his generation but it turns out it was a little bit more than that. This is a man of great humility for he declined all efforts to tell the press of his distinguished career or his long standing relationships with some great figures in recent history.
I took a funeral this week of another gentleman – almost the same age as Martin – whose distinguished career in the army was borne with great humility. So much so that a surprise letter of condolence from Her Majesty the Queen was read out at his funeral. Humble, sacrificial service.
These figures seem to carry a profound seasonal message, for they bring hope and remind us that however dark these times are there are those who inspire us by bringing a little light into dark times.
We await the birth of another figure this week – that of Jesus Christ – born in poverty and the most humble of circumstances, but bringing hope and light into the world.
Wishing you all a very happy and peaceful Christmas and the hope of a better year in 2021 for all whom you love and care for. Elizabeth
