One more step along the world I go,
one more step along the world I go;
from the old things to the new,
keep me travelling along with You.
And it’s from the old I travel to the new,
keep me travelling along with You!
Round the corners of the world I turn,
more and more about the world I learn;
all the new things that I see,
You’ll be looking at along with me.
And it’s from the old I travel to the new,
keep me travelling along with You!
As I travel through the bad and good,
keep me travelling the way I should;
where I see no way to go,
You’ll be telling me the way, I know.
And it’s from the old I travel to the new,
keep me travelling along with You!
Give me courage when the world is rough,
keep me loving though the world is tough;
leap and sing in all I do,
keep me travelling along with you.
And it’s from the old I travel to the new,
keep me travelling along with You!
You are older than the world can be,
You are younger than the life in me;
ever old and ever new,
keep me travelling along with you.
And it’s from the old I travel to the new,
keep me travelling along with You!
Will You Come and Follow Me?
Will you come and follow me if I but call your name?
Will you go where you don’t know, and never be the same?
Will you let my love be shown,
will you let my name be known,
will you let my life be grown in you, and you in me?
Will you leave yourself behind if I but call your name?
Will you care for cruel and kind, and never be the same?
Will you risk the hostile stare,
should your life attract or scare,
will you let me answer prayer in you, and you in me?
Will you let the blinded see if I but call your name?
Will you set the pris’ners free and never be the same?
Will you kiss the leper clean
and do such as this unseen,
and admit to what I mean in you, and you in me?
Will you love the ‘you’ you hide if I but call your name?
Will you quell the fear inside, and never be the same?
Will you use the faith you’ve found
to re-shape the world around,
through my sight and touch and sound in you, and you in me?
Lord, your summons echoes true when you but call my name,
let me turn and follow you, and never be the same.
In your company I’ll go,
where your love and footsteps show;
thus I’ll move and live and grow in you, and you in me.
All Saints Church will be opening for private prayer only from Monday 15th June

We have received new guidance from the Government and the Church of England that we may reopen for private prayer only from Monday. We anticipate we will be open from 10am til 4pm daily.
Our wardens and ministers have been working hard and taken every care to adapt the church and follow the guidance set out for us. Please pay attention to the posters and signs around the church which will give you instructions for your health and safety. There is a wall mounted sanitiser on the way in to church which we ask you to use on the way in and out of the building and the church will be cleaned daily.Please do not come into church if you are feeling poorly or have any symptoms of Covid-19.
If others are in church when you arrive please follow the guidelines on distancing and stay 2 meters apart. You may come individually or with others from your household.
We hope that all of the measures taken will enable you to feel welcome and safe and to enjoy once more our beautiful church, and we pray it will bring you comfort at this time.

Please see the notices from St Stephen's and St Leonard's for their opening times as these vary for the different churches.

Sunday 14th June      Trinity 1
Readings: Exodus 19. 2-8a   Romans 5. 1-8   Matthew 9. 35-10.8
……. and some verses of a hymn for the season
I heard the voice of Jesus say                                                     I heard the voice of Jesus say,
"Come unto me, and rest                                                             "I am this dark world's light;
lay down, thou weary one, lay down                                      look unto me, thy morn shall rise
thy head upon my breast.”                                                          and all thy day be bright"
I came to Jesus as I was,                                                               I looked to Jesus, and I found
so weary,  worn and sad;                                                              in him my star, my sun;
I found in him a resting place,                                                     and in that light of life I'll walk
and he has made me glad.                                                           till trav'lling days are done.

…………and a prayer for us all………..
Creator God,
you made us all in your image:
may we discern you in all that we see,
and serve you in all that we do;
through Jesus Christ our Lord.
