Welcome to Synchrony Australia’s first edition of our newsletter ‘Lettuce Know’. The purpose of this newsletter is to keep you up to date with all new developments in our constantly evolving product and service model and all the exciting things happening at our clients’ sites.

In the past 12 
months, we have had substantial organic growth of our business. We are continually striving for excellence across all our sites for clients, staff, suppliers and all other stakeholders. Our staff’s rich experience in the collaborative environments enables them to seamlessly integrate with our client’s changing needs and objectives.

In this edition, and many more to come we will highlight our new innovative programs, introduce our champions in the business, share healthy food recipes, events at our clients’ sites and much more. The past year has been an exciting time for Synchrony Australia. During this period, Synchrony Australia has taken over the contracts for several major companies including Atlassian, CSIRO Marsfeild, HPM Legrand; as well as Curwood Lawyers, De Longhi and Westpac for VIP functions.  

Many notable and exciting changes have happened over recent times including: 

 
Atlassian awarded Best Place to Work by BRW for second year! 
Atlassian won the title in the 100+ employees category for the second year in a row - this is the first time this has happened in the history of the BRW Best Place to work list! Synchrony Australia is proud to be Atlassian's Food Service provider ensuring a world-class employee experience at Atlassian's headquarters in Sydney's CBD and to celebrate, a delicious party was thrown for staff.

New Contract: HPM Legrand Awards Synchrony Australia new contract
In July 2015, HPM Legrand enlisted the services of Synchrony Australia to operate the staff cafe at their head office in Prestons, NSW. This site was mobilised providing a range of dining options including a hot buffet, al la carte menu and grab-n-go options for employees. Synchrony Australia is proud of the seamless transition and quality service provided by the skilled and dedicated team.

Atlassian Launches New Kitchen at Sydney CBD Head Office
Atlassian opened a brand new kitchen in mid-August 2015 at the company's headquarters in Sydney's CBD. The site is managed by Synchrony Australia and offers a bright and modern facility, catering to the rapidly increasing workforce. Within the three dining facilities, the staff are able to create their own meals from a variety of fresh ingredients as well as try their hand at a chocolate skill-tester!!!

Strategic Services and Account Manager: Christina Belcev
Synchrony Australia is proud to announce the appointment of Christina Belcev as Strategic Services and Account Manager. With over 15 years experience across hospitality and food service, Christina has a wealth of experience and an ability to create robust collaborative environments. Christina is excited to take on this new role within Synchrony Australia.

SyncLife Recipe of the Month

Spring Zucchini Noodle Salad with Pomegranate + Avocado

This recipe is seasonal and filled with delicious healthy vegetables. It is easy to make, delicious and is also vegan, gluten-free, vegetarian, paleo and dairy free! 
Ingredients
3 large zucchinis
1 tsp.of salt
1 large avocado, sliced
1 punnet of heirloom tomatoes, halved
1 red onion, chopped
2 large handful of fresh mint leaves, rinsed
Seeds from 1 pomegranate
1 cup of spinach leaves, rinsed
1 cup of rocket leaves, rinsed


Pomegranate dressing:
½ cup of extra virgin olive oil
2 Tbs. of pomegranate molasses (optional)
1 Tbs. of dijon mustard
1 Tbs. of honey
2 Tbs. of red wine vinegar
Salt and pepper to taste  
How to make this salad:
1. Wash zucchinis well, trim off both ends and using your spirazliser make Zucchini noodles. 
Hint: Make sure the zucchini is in the middle of the spiralizer
 to make sure you get the most noodles from your veggie!
2. Place zucchini noodles into a colander, sprinkling salt on top.  Leave for at least 10 minutes. The salt helps the water leach from the zucchini making your noodles crispier and last longer. 
3. Remove the zucchini noodles from the colander and pat dry with a paper towel.
4. Combine zucchini noodles with the rest of the salad ingredients including avocado, tomatoes, red onion, mint, pomegranate seeds, spinach and rocket in a large bowl or serving platter.
5. In a jar or sealed container, add salad dressing ingredients and shake well.
6. Add salad dressing whilst tossing salad. Serve and enjoy!
 
If you’re extra hungry and partial to cheese, try adding crumbed Danish fetta to this salad for an extra level of ‘yum’!
