40th Anniversary Season
View this email in your browser

Dear <<Greeting>>
On Saturday 26th October we are celebrating our 40th season with a service of Choral Evensong, in St Mary's Church Reigate where the EAC was "born", followed by a short concert featuring Vivaldi's Gloria. This will be a family occasion, with the solos sung by Chorale members, the organ played by our recently-retired organist Ian le Grice, and instrumental obbligati played by our friends Crispian Steele-Perkins and Simon Edge-Partington. Tea will be served between Evensong and the concert. Admission is free of charge, and there will be a retiring collection in aid of St Catherine's Hospice.

We are holding a Celebration Dinner after the concert for current and past members and Friends of the EAC, in St Mary's Church Centre. It's not too late to buy a ticket, but the deadline (midnight on Sunday October 20th) is fast approaching. You can find details here on our website. Tickets are £35 per person and are available through the EAC telephone order-line on 01737 762097, or, if you have a difficulty getting through, email

Further celebrations have been arranged throughout the rest of the season, including our concert next month featuring Fauré's Requiem and the magnificent "Organ" Symphony by Saint-Saëns, two performances of Vaughan Williams' A Sea Symphony in the UK and a further performance in Prague, and s
inging the Verdi Requiem entirely from memory on London's South Bank in July.

Places are available for visiting singers to join us for the Sea Symphony concerts, including our short tour to Prague, and for our Verdi challenge. If you are interested, email our Membership Secretary.

We hope you can join us, either as a singer or in the audience, for some of these extremely special occasions.

Best wishes
