Alabama Family Trust may be a valuable resource at some point in your life.

Why?

Because disabilities can happen at any point in our lives or our loved ones' lives.

What Can Alabama Family Trust do For Me?
We work with attorneys by administering special needs trusts.  These unique trusts help disabled or senior individuals become or remain financially eligible to receive government benefits such as Supplemental Security Income (SSI) and Medicaid.

A Trust For Me?
Check out our Trust FAQs for more details on special needs trusts especially for the elderly in skilled nursing homes.  We can help:
  • protect assets
  • avoid a “spend-down”
  • pay for long-term care
  • improve the overall quality of life for individuals with disabilities.
And even if you don't need us today, make sure you bookmark Alabama Family Trust  so you will be ready.
Pros and Cons of ABLE Accounts . . . Three Years Later
A lot has been sorted out since the Achieving a Better Life Experience Act (ABLE Act) was set up back in 2014.

The bottom line is that an ABLE account is not applicable for all disabled individuals, but it can complement a special needs trust for some individuals.  Read this article from Birmingham Parent to understand an ABLE account’s restrictions and find out if it fits your situation.
