In March, we shared some of the new forms available on our website related to the new Senate Bill 17 that was signed in January.  The Board of Trustees and staff continue their efforts to improve options for the disabled and elderly that Alabama Family Trust serves.

Sharing Alabama Family Trust's Capabilities

Our Executive Director Melanie B. Holliman spoke at the Gulf Coast Dementia Conference in Mobile in early April. She explained the various forms of long-term care, methods of payment, and how Alabama Family Trust helps seniors use their money for their needs and qualify for Medicaid to pay for their nursing home care.

Governor Kay Ivey Signs Senate Bill 17

This first bill passed in the 2018 legislative session ensures that Alabamians can use a special needs trust to help their disabled loved ones.
