Founded in 2015 by Oregon native and white Burgundy collector Chris Hermann, 00 Wines is the culmination of three decades tasting, walking the vineyards, traveling, and working with winemakers in Burgundy, Champagne, and the Willamette Valley. Their international team brings experience consulting with the world's top cool climate white wine estates to our grand vision.
They only work with farmers who are fanatical about vineyard practices that translate to the final enjoyment of wine in the glass. They pay obsessive attention to every detail of our craft, from our grand cru vineyard sourcing, to the barrel program, to the hand wax dipped, hand labeled bottles.
The new, 2018 releases of the 'Very Good White' and the Extra Good White' are not yet critically reviewed but most observers in the area like the vintage at least as much as 2017. 00 scored 94 and 95 point scores from Vinous Media and John Gilman and for their 2017 releases of these two wines.
2018 VGW Chardonnay - $69
2018 EGW Chardonnay - $85
2017 Eola Springs Chardonnay - $110
95 points Wine Advocate - "The 2017 Chardonnay Eola Springs comes from vines planted in 1984. It has a singular, incredibly layered nose of orange oil, jasmine, dried chamomile and hay, honeyed apples, pie crust, candied hazelnuts, grilled peaches, sweet spices, autumn leaves and mushroom tart. In the mouth, it's medium-bodied and über silky, spindle-like in its ability to run the gamut from precise stony character to open, fleshy, honeyed fruits and back again, with laser-like focus and a very long, layered finish. This is gorgeous!"
