We are pleased to offer a small allocation of the forthcoming 2018 Chevillon release in September. The wines will be with us in October or November.

Originally founded in 1900 with less than a hectare, domaine Robert Chevillon is now run by sons Bertrand and Denis in succession to their father.  Today they farm approximately thirteen hectares, including the top premier cru vineyards in Nuits St. Georges.

Their wines are a pure expression of Pinot Noir, and a study of the finest terroirs.  They age exceptionally well, and are considered a standard-bearer for the appellation.

Chevillon Nuits St. Georges Les Vaucrains 2018
18 bottles available, $185 per bottle
(92-94) points Vinous: "The 2018 Nuits Saint-Georges Les Vaucrains 1er Cru matches Chevillon’s Les Saint-Georges pound for pound in terms of intensity and precision, offering brambly black fruit, crushed rock, tangerine and raspberry preserve scents that blossom with aeration. The medium-bodied palate features very supple tannins and pitch-perfect acidity, although perhaps at the moment the Les Saint-Georges demonstrates more complexity and terroir expression toward the finish. The Vaucrains is more introspective and remains a little aloof on the finish (at least for now). One for the cellar. (Drink between 2023-2048)."

Chevillon Nuits St. Georges Les Cailles 2018
12 bottles available, $179 per bottle
(93-95) points Vinous: "The 2018 Nuits Saint-Georges Les Cailles 1er Cru has a complex bouquet, a mélange of red and black fruit, crushed rocks, rose petals, desiccated orange peel and touches of black pepper, all wonderfully detailed and precise. The palate is nicely balanced with an energetic opening, delivering red berry fruit, savory notes of black truffle and meat juices and real sapidity toward the finish. This is a superb Les Cailles, very mercurial in the glass and constantly shape-shifting. Superb. (Drink between 2022-2045)."

Chevillon Nuits St. Georges Les Chaignots 2018
18 bottles available, $99 per bottle
(90-92) points Vinous: "The 2018 Nuits Saint-Georges Les Chaignots 1er Cru comes from two parcels comprising 1.5 hectares. This is a distinct level up from the Village Cru, with a nose of red cherries, wild strawberry and light rose petal aromas, all beautifully defined and quite Mugneret-Gibourg in style. The medium-bodied palate offers slightly chalky tannins on the entry. Quite compact and not a deep Nuits Saint-Georges, though there is fine mineralité toward a finish replete with blackberry and dried blood/ferrous notes. I suspect it will flesh out during the remainder of its élevage, and it should be fascinating to watch in bottle. (Drink between 2022-2032)."

Chevillon Nuits St. Georges VV 2018
36 bottles available, $85 per bottle
(88-90) points Vinous: "The 2018 Nuits Saint-Georges Villages has a charming, vivid bouquet of ebullient red cherries and crushed strawberry fruit that bursts from the glass. The medium-bodied palate offers sappy red fruit on the entry. Quite glossy and sweet in style, with tart cherries and blueberry on the playful, energetic finish. Probably one for earlier drinking than, say, the 2015 or 2016 Nuit Saint-Georges Villages. (Drink between 2020-2027)."
